Beheading of a Smiling Dog
Georg has just finished his latest short film Beheading of a Smiling Dog. This is partly the reason why this blog wasn't that happening lately. I'm just too bloody busy doing other things. You will find all sorts of news and infos about Beheading of a Smiling dog here.

Stuff to do at work - www.soup.io
Even the strongest of efforts to stay clear of work sometimes fail and one ends up actually doing some work. So in case this happens to you I can highly recommend to check out www.soup.io. It's a tumblelog where people constantly post links, images and short notes. Things happen really quickly here and best of all, everything is in a endless list. You can scroll forever and still find new stuff. Mostly people in Asia got into posting pictures of what they are about to eat, yummy! So i recommend to check out soup.io at Asian lunchtime (e.g.: UK time & some 8 hours). I just noticed that the faint-hearted should avoid German lunch-time.

send.a.message
What a great idea! Send a message to a group of young Palestinians. They spray your message on the Israeli West Bank barrier , better known as The Wall. Then you receive a few snapshots of the graffiti. Obviously this doesn't change the world or has much of a political implication but it is a great cultural and social project. And the fair fee of 30 Euros goes to social projects in the area. So there is some direct positive effect of your remote daylight bombing on someone else's wall. You'll have to hurry there is only some 620 km of wall left.

News From Switzerland
We've just been informed by our think tank in Zurich, Switzerland, that Chritoph Blocher has lost his seat in the Swiss government. In his better days Blocher gained international recognition for his popular 'politics for sheep'. Office Lendorff Zurich sent us the following comment: Tja... hihihi, blblbl... deppdudepp bfrrrrrrrhihihi.

Pixel Art Laptop Sleeves
Our laptop sleeves are now available on our web shop. They are probably the first knitted laptop sleeves ever made. But hey, they look cool (at least to our twisted standards) and they offer good protection. They are lined with neoprene and come in 6 designs. So here you go!

This Picture is For Illustration Purposes Only
You probably think we are enjoying summer in a nice place. These guys are in knitting, so they take half the year off. Like school teachers. But that's not the case. Uschi is currently in Kolkata where she works as a design consultant for an Indian textile label and I'm working on a film script. On top of that we are working hard to get the first batch of our exciting new laptop sleeves out. They should be available in our online shop by the end of May. As you see, the above picture is for illustration purposes only.

Go And See...
the latest Lars Von Trier movie. We enjoyed it a lot! Not as heavy as most of his other movies this is a intelligent, mean, funny and touching film. And, as always, completely distinct from the pack. Whether you like his work or not, Lars Von Trier is one of the most outstanding film directors of our time. You can catch a Guardian interview here.

This One Goes to Banksy and
all the nameless taggers, graffiti, stencil and underground artists in our area. You are a great source of inspiration and you save us the trip to art galleries! (Meanwhile there are more galleries around here than mobile-phone shops and estate agents combined. I don't want to know what goes on in there!) You can check out more of Banksys subversive and political work here. Special mentioning goes to anonymous for the truly visionary Body Work sign.

Culture
Here's a quick update on things to see these days: 16/3 1am (!) BBC 3 is showing Moonmonkeys a comedy pilot directed by our friend George Milton. His highly enjoyable feature The Truth has recently been released on DVD. Great life performers Trans Am are currently touring Europe and the US, so are The Melvins.

Our Studio on Curtain Road
These images will give you some insight into our Studio. We are located at the corner of Curtain Road and Old Street in East London. View across the street. On the right is the 333/mother club. Straight ahead is The Foundry, Georg's favourite place and to the left is Uschi's prefered Plastic People. The Bus is a number 243. The two bikes are both Pashley, the drawings stem from Uschi's sinister fantasy, the photograph was an exchange with Swiss designer/artist Adrian Elsener for money owed. The last image shows what was left of our studio after receiving the latest production from the knitting mill.

Our New Laptop Sleeves
During my recent attempt to buy a new laptop sleeve for my powerbook I realised that they generally look dreadful. So we got ourselves some neoprene and after the first few rather tragic prototypes Uschi came up with this pretty cool and practical design. We offer them with and without a strap and so far in 2 sizes. They were very popular at the fashion shows and have been ordered by quite a few shops.

don't you eat that yellow snow - Henrik Vibskov in Paris
During our show at Rendez-Vous in Paris we met Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov and some of his team. He invited us around to his Land of Black Carrots show later that evening. A great show, very different from the usual catwalk thing and we like the collection a lot. After seeing so many brands trying hard to prove that they are cool and street-wise (some of the Who's Next show looked like a porn convention) it is great to meet people like him who live on a different (fashion) planet. Henriks creativity and engagement is striking and it was pure fun to indulge in his work. Henrik, by the way, is in the left image wearing the bow-tie. He is going to sell our laptop sleeves in his Henrik Vibskov Store in Krystalgade 6, Copenhagen - what a great place to be! Anyway, if you have the chance, check out his work. You can see some of it on his web-site www.henrikvibskov.com but try to catch it real-life whenever possible.

Office Lendorff Boingboing'ed
Over the last few months we suddenly got a lot of exposure on the net. We got mentioned in blogs, people checked out our page and we received a lot of fan-mail (Thanks to all of you!). Our traffic exploded over night and I had to start instant negotiations with our provider. What a trip! We eventually figured out how it must have happened: maclondon who runs a London blog walked into American Retro on Old Compton Street and got himself one of our hats. He was so fund of our stuff that he took a photograph - straight in the store - and wrote a few lines about us http://maclondon.livejournal.com/. Thank you maclondon! You where the first to write about us and you triggered the rest. I guess next in line came the gamers. Nostalgic as ever they liked our retro arcade game style knitts and started posting: http://gaygamer.net/ and http://www.wonderlandblog.com Thank you guys! Wait till we introduce our c64 bags. Wonderland triggered http://fashion.psfk.com/ possibly the first fashion blog mentioning us. Then came boingboing http://www.boingboing.net/. After that we got mentioned in 100s of blogs and we where overwhelmed by the support we received from people everywhere. We invest a lot of energy and enthusiasm into Office Lendorff (and so far can't afford a company car) and it is great to see that people actually enjoy our stuff. Thank you mac, jennifer, cory, flora (from the Vogue Australia Forums, yes you), roger (you opened our eyes!), amanda, tom (from plasticbag.org, great site!), neil (you are our first ever online customer),trudy, john, lynne, lorraine and all the others. Thank you!
