Our Studio on Curtain Road

These images will give you some insight into our Studio. We are located at the corner of Curtain Road and Old Street in East London. View across the street. On the right is the 333/mother club. Straight ahead is The Foundry, Georg's favourite place and to the left is Uschi's prefered Plastic People. The Bus is a number 243. The two bikes are both Pashley, the drawings stem from Uschi's sinister fantasy, the photograph was an exchange with Swiss designer/artist Adrian Elsener for money owed. The last image shows what was left of our studio after receiving the latest production from the knitting mill.

Our New Laptop Sleeves

During my recent attempt to buy a new laptop sleeve for my powerbook I realised that they generally look dreadful. So we got ourselves some neoprene and after the first few rather tragic prototypes Uschi came up with this pretty cool and practical design. We offer them with and without a strap and so far in 2 sizes. They were very popular at the fashion shows and have been ordered by quite a few shops.

don't you eat that yellow snow - Henrik Vibskov in Paris

During our show at Rendez-Vous in Paris we met Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov and some of his team. He invited us around to his Land of Black Carrots show later that evening. A great show, very different from the usual catwalk thing and we like the collection a lot. After seeing so many brands trying hard to prove that they are cool and street-wise (some of the Who's Next show looked like a porn convention) it is great to meet people like him who live on a different (fashion) planet. Henriks creativity and engagement is striking and it was pure fun to indulge in his work. Henrik, by the way, is in the left image wearing the bow-tie. He is going to sell our laptop sleeves in his Henrik Vibskov Store in Krystalgade 6, Copenhagen - what a great place to be! Anyway, if you have the chance, check out his work. You can see some of it on his web-site www.henrikvibskov.com but try to catch it real-life whenever possible.

Office Lendorff Boingboing'ed

Over the last few months we suddenly got a lot of exposure on the net. We got mentioned in blogs, people checked out our page and we received a lot of fan-mail (Thanks to all of you!). Our traffic exploded over night and I had to start instant negotiations with our provider. What a trip! We eventually figured out how it must have happened: maclondon who runs a London blog walked into American Retro on Old Compton Street and got himself one of our hats. He was so fund of our stuff that he took a photograph - straight in the store - and wrote a few lines about us http://maclondon.livejournal.com/. Thank you maclondon! You where the first to write about us and you triggered the rest. I guess next in line came the gamers. Nostalgic as ever they liked our retro arcade game style knitts and started posting: http://gaygamer.net/ and http://www.wonderlandblog.com Thank you guys! Wait till we introduce our c64 bags. Wonderland triggered http://fashion.psfk.com/ possibly the first fashion blog mentioning us. Then came boingboing http://www.boingboing.net/. After that we got mentioned in 100s of blogs and we where overwhelmed by the support we received from people everywhere. We invest a lot of energy and enthusiasm into Office Lendorff (and so far can't afford a company car) and it is great to see that people actually enjoy our stuff. Thank you mac, jennifer, cory, flora (from the Vogue Australia Forums, yes you), roger (you opened our eyes!), amanda, tom (from plasticbag.org, great site!), neil (you are our first ever online customer),trudy, john, lynne, lorraine and all the others. Thank you!
